NGF Crisis: Dickson Slams Amaechi, Congratulates Jang On Victory

Governor Seriake Dickson of Bayelsa State has formally recognized his Plateau State counterpart, Jonah Jang as the Chairman of the Nigeria Governors’ Forum, NGF.
In a congratulatory message contained in a press statement, Mr Dickson he believes the NGF under the leadership of Governor Jang will be used as a platform to collaborate with other levels of government in consultation with other governors without necessarily being confrontational.
He said,  “Never again shall the NGF be run as a parallel government. As governors, we are not elected to rule the country, the responsibility to rule the whole country lies with the president, the Executive Council of the Federation and the National Assembly.
“As governors we are provincial players principally elected to lead our respective states. I know with your track record of service and unflinching commitment to due process and the rules of engagement, the NGF will be, as it ought to be, as a peer review mechanism and not a propaganda tool used by the opposition to destabilize the polity. And I trust that you will not use it as a medium to blackmail and further your personal political agenda. Nigeria’s interest will remain the center piece of our agenda”.
He went further to admonish Governor Jang to remain focused, fair and firm as he pilots the affairs of the NGF.

So it has been confirmed, Jude Okoye, elder brother of the dynamic duo P-Square wasn’t present for his brother’s wedding. A source spoke with P-Square’s publicist Bayo Adetu and he confirmed that Jude Okoye was not at Peter and Lola’s wedding yesterday. The gist is that Jude Okoye and some members of P-Square’s band were stuck in Ghana after their Saturday night show. What’s weird is that Peter and Paul also at that show and were able to make the trip back on Sunday morning but not Jude.
